Intersection at H Street is about intersectionality and diversity hosted by Tyler Cargill, the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Bay Atlantic University.
Today’s podcast examines how English as a Second Language teachers experience diversity and inclusion in the classroom. Guests are Heath Tjaden and Dr. Manohari Rasagam from Mentora College.
In the first episode, Tyler and his guests discuss what diversity and inclusion is and the role in plays in our lives.
In an ever changing and expanding world, the roles of diversity and inclusion in society continue to be shaped by academia. It is in our institutions of higher education that individuals are first exposed to different peers and diverse cultures. Different expressions of idea, faith, race and ancestry, age, nationality, sex, gender identity and sexual orientation may be uncomfortable to the unaccustomed, but embracing an inclusive environment can help strengthen students to be successful in the modern workplace.
